Prerequisites for employment

Jan-Care requires that our employees are of good character, compassionate and professional. In addition we are required to conduct a criminal background, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check on all field and communication positions.

Jan-Care is an American Heart Association training center. We offer ACLS, PALS, all branches of CPR, PHTLS, BTLS, and CEVO II. These courses are offered at no cost to our field employees. We pride ourselves in offering and maintaining high levels of education for our staff. We also offer some instructor certifications in the disciplines we teach, and encourage our employees to progress toward those levels if they choose.


 
  •   Current EMT-I Class Activities

    As a part of a Paramedic’s education, the student is required to take Anatomy and Physiology in order to gain a deeper insight into the everyday activities of the body.  By doing so, the student will gain a better appreciation for how disease and injury affect the body; thereby leading to more accurate differential diagnosis, and the most appropriate patient management and treatment regimens to improve patient outcomes and add to the continuity of care provided.
